In February 2017 I packed up a suitcase and snowboard and moved to Alaska to manage a heli ski lodge for three months. This has been many firsts—flying in a helicopter, heli snowboarding, being in a management position and seeing this wild, beautiful state—but I have a feeling none of these will be lasts.
